SCE Student Paper Award — CEF 2026 Winner and Runners-Up
The Society for Computational Economics is pleased to announce the results of the Graduate Student Paper Award at the 32nd Conference on Computing in Economics and Finance (CEF 2026), held at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The award recognizes outstanding research by young scholars in computational economics and finance.
The selection was made by Thomas Lubik, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, who chaired the award committee. The results were announced on 30 June 2026 during Michael Reiter’s plenary lecture.
Winner
Piero De Dominicis (Bocconi University) — “The Micro and Macro Implications of Early Career Skills Mismatch.”
The committee selected the paper for its strong referee evaluations, noting it as the most complete of the three and a solo-authored contribution.
Runners-Up
- Yoshiya Yokomoto (Keio University) — “Accelerating the Krusell-Smith Algorithm with Deep Learning.”
- Steven Hoekstra (University of Amsterdam) — “Forecasting with a Dutch Agent-Based Model and Optimally Behaving Households.”
