The French Colonial History Society awards the Boucher and Heggoy book prizes; the Peabody prize to help fund travel to and participation in the annual meeting by a colleague at a scholarly institution outside North America or Europe; the Eccles prize for the best paper presented by a graduate student at the annual meeting; the Shorrock travel award to assist graduate students who present a paper at the annual meeting; and the Article prize for the best peer-reviewed article on any aspect of French colonial history.
